This poster was created for Barbytchiversaire, an underground dark wave event in Marseille. Drawing inspiration from riot grrrl zines and DIY culture, I combined gritty textures, layered typography, and vibrant neon colors to create a collage-like aesthetic. To add an ironic twist, I used a font reminiscent of the iconic Barbie logo, contrasting its polished, hyper-feminine vibe with the rebellious, unapologetic energy of the event. Designed for digital formats, the poster embodies the underground spirit while celebrating empowerment, individuality, and the subversion of stereotypes—just like the zines that inspired it.
